Taking after Dad

Ezra is into his Dad! Whatever Dad does...Ez has to do. Or thinks he at least has to try. Here are a few pictures of him being Becks' mini-me.

Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree...

You were an easy one to find. Although we got all muddy and wet. Within a half hour we were all set. Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree...

Here are a few pics of us on our Christmas tree search adventure this year. We went out the first Sunday of the month and quite possibly the rainiest day of the year. It was pouring down rain. And the wind was blowing the rain sideways. We were drenched. It all started with it raining...we decided to hop on the hay wagon tractor ride which we thought would get us out to the field faster. Well, we should have just walked. As the hay bales were soaking wet, so our bottoms now were wet. Then the tractor comes to a stop at the other end of the field in a huge mess of mud. Ok. Now we have to jump off the trailer into the mud. Luckily Becks and I were wearing our hiking boots! Then we are off to find our tree as fast as we can. We find one and then we continue to search just to make sure we aren't missing out on a better one. Only to return to the one we originally found. Now we are even wetter. Becks does the cutting of the tree while trying to rest as much of his hip on the little 12in by 6in piece of plastic they gave us with our saw. Yeah, he was covered in mud by the time he was done cutting the tree down. And it was the biggest tree trunk we have had in a Christmas tree yet. Well, Becks pulled it over to the place where the four wheeler with trailer came by and we got it up on the trailer to be hauled back to the shaker and baler area. I think this also was the heaviest tree we have ever gotten and Becks somehow managed to get it on top of our little Golf. I was not there to see how this was accomplished, but I think someone may have given him a hand. After drinking some hot cider we were on our way home with the heater running at full blast. Well. Now you have the story of how we got our tree. It is a beautiful tree. And though it wasn't the best weather...we still had a lot of fun as a family selecting our tree.

Oh, yeah...Ezra turned 20 months.

So I am slacking off! Ezra is now 20 and a half months old...and I am just now posting a picture of him. He weighs in now at an impressive 21 pounds. There is now talk that his 4 month old cousin may outweigh him before too long. As he already is at 17lbs 10oz. But only time will tell. Ezra has also become interested in going potty in the last couple of weeks. And asks frequently to do so. Although I think it is mainly because he wants to run around after 'trying to go' sans diaper. But whatever the motivation...at least there is an interest. We are trying not to push the subject too much with him as he is still quite young. And we don't want him to become disinterested because of pressure from us. So we are just trying to go at his pace with this new interest. Well, now that you know his latest...here is a picture of 20 month old Ezra.
