Father's Day

Father's Day

Becks and Ezra on Father's Day! It was a wonderful day! My mom was in town from Ohio and after attending church in the morning Becks grilled us some lunch. Then in the evening after Becks did some yard work we went out to Red Robin's for some dinner! Delicious. Becks had me cut his hair on that Friday, so now he and Ezra look even more a like!!

A rare treat

Yesterday I was able to mow the lawn! From late in my pregnancy until now Becks has mowed the lawn. And I just had to watch. So yesterday after checking the weather for the week and findng out that it is suppose to rain a good portion of the days I decided that we should mow. I thought about the fact that Becks and I were both at home and that I would actually be able to mow since Becks could keep an eye on Ezra. I know it is a rare treat for some of you when you don't have to mow, but I absolutely love it! I have since I was about 11 or 12. That is when I started mowing the lawn for my grandparents. I enjoy the smell of the cut grass and getting to mow the lawn in different 'patterns'. I woke up this morning to a heavy downpour and thought about how nice it is to have a freshly mowed lawn! :o) Oh, it is the small things in life...

We are continuing to do well here! Ezra is growing every day it seems. And is changing right before our eyes! My mom is coming into town tomorrow night and it will be fun to have her see Ezra after about 10 weeks of not seeing him. And to see how much she thinks he has changed since she saw him last at four days old!

Becks has begun playing softball in a church league, so it has been fun to get out one night a week to watch him play. And he is also continuing to run. The next race he is in is the Hood to Coast Relay in August and then he is planning on running in the Portland Marathon once again in October! It will be fun to take Ezra to see his dad running! Some day he will be able to join him on some short runs.

I keep busy with caring for little Ez! We have a lot of fun at home and getting together with friends. It will get even more fun as he gets more interactive.

Well until next time...
