Randomly generated thoughts and my general jabberwocky.
On Saturday afternoon Ezra got to go out on his first hike with mom and dad! What a big event! With many more hikes to come. He had a little bit of trouble getting comfy in the sling after falling asleep in his carseat on the way to the park, but he eventually found a comfy position as you can see in this photo. We might just make a hiker out of him :o)
Ezra was dedicated at church today at just over two weeks of age! It was an awesome experience! We are looking forward to raising him to know God. And are praying that he comes to know Christ as his Savior at a young age. And our prayer is that he will be one to help lead others back to God just like Ezra of the Old Testament.
He is such a little guy! I just realized his true size looking at this picture :o)
Ezra spent a bit of time in his sling today. He went for his first walk around the block and we sat outside in the warm sun. Sorry for the quality of this self portrait, but there was no one else at home at the time to take the photo for us. He is just too cute!
Here is Koi on baby watching duty. Doesn't she look like a pro? She has taken to Ezra better than I could have ever imagined. I had in my mind that she was not going to handle our new addition to the family very well. But she has accepted him for the most part. She is feeling a little neglected these days. Not so much attention goes towards her these days.
Here is Ezra at his first doctors visit on Tuesday. Doesn't he just look thrilled to be checked over. He was more upset about this than being stripped down to his diaper and weighed.
Well here we are! A family of three :o) We are so excited to have little Ezra Vander with us now. He was born on Friday, March 31st at 12:58pm. He weighed in at 6 lbs 6 oz and measured 19.25 in! He is just precious. With dad's eyes and mom's nose and mouth. Oh, he also has moms long fingers and toes :o) He has reddish blonde hair and dark blue eyes (at the moment). He is just too precious for words. So I will just post a few more pics of him so that you can see for yourselves. Hope you are all doing well. We are even with our lack of sleep these days. Becks just went back to work for his first full day today. My parents left after being here for two weeks and Becks' parents are arriving very late tonight! Hard to believe that Ezra will be a week old on Friday!! :o) He had his first pediatrician visit yesterday and is doing great! He is already almost back at his birth weight. Which is where they like them to be at their two week visit. So he is needless to say eating very well :o) Well I best get going...I need a nap before the next feeding. Take care!
