Almost there...

We had an appointment with a different doctor on Tuesday as my doctor is on vacation for spring break. This doctor was not wanting to see me go past 41 weeks, so he set up for me to come in today for an ultrasound to check the fluid levels and Ezra's activity and I also had a non-stress test done to watch Ezra's heart rate during his active stages. Of course when they hooked me up to the monitor he decided that it was time to sleep. So they gave me some apple juice to give him a bit of a sugar rush, but before that had time to take effect they decided to buzz him with a buzzer. Basically it startled him into a wakeful state :o) Poor guy was just trying to catch some shut-eye. All looked good in the ultrasound and the non-stress test, so we go in tomorrow night at midnight so that they can start the induction process. Ezra should be here by Friday or Saturday if he doesn't decide to come before then on his own.

Friends from church, Brent and Amy, just welcomed their son, Noah John, into the world yesterday! He was 9 pounds 4 oz! Just adorable! We got to visit him in between our Dr visits today and we got to hold him :o) Since Amy ended up having a C-section she will still be at the hospital recovering while we are there! So there will be two new families for our friends to visit at the same hospital! A nice little party of sorts. :o)

Well that is it for now. Next time I post will probably be after we return from the hospital. Unless I can get Becks to blog before then.

Last of the progress shots

39 weeks

I decided to take one last photo. Here I am now at 39 weeks! Sometime this week Ezra will be here...hopefully. We go on Tuesday to the doctor and will be discussing inducing with him. Hard to believe that the time has almost arrived. My parents will arrive on Wednesday and be with us for two weeks and then Becks' parents will be out immediately following for a week and a half. So we will have plenty of helping hands from the start.

During our waiting we were able to get some last minute organizing done around the house and also had our new kitchen countertops installed :o) Now we are even more prepared for his arrival.

The waiting game

It has begun for us. Waiting for Ezra's arrival. Well it began when we found out that I was pregnant, but now we are anticipating his arrival even more as the time draws closer. Now at 37 weeks and four days it is really getting close. We still have some last minute organizing to do in his room, but that may not get done until he is here. I am suppose to be resting 50% of my day. Which happens sometimes, but a lot of times I feel like being productive and getting some things done around the house and around town. Yesterday I thought I would start out my day doing laundry. So as soon as Becks was out the door to catch the bus I put a load in. Well the hose that drains the washer into the utility sink popped out of the sink during the rinse cycle. And I was right in the other room and saw it pop out. (This same thing happened last Tuesday as well, but I didn't catch it in time and there was 1/2 inch of water in the laundry room!) I went in to put the hose back in the sink and before I knew it I heard my head hitting the floor. I had slipped on the water and my feet went out from under me and I was laying on the floor wondering how I was going to get up and turn the water off as it was now soaking me. I managed to get up after checking to see if I was bleeding and turn off the washer. The hose continued to pop out of the sink and spill more water on the floor a few more times after I had shut off the washer. Until I finally put the hose into the washer and shut the washer door on it! I called the hospital and found out that I needed to come in to be monitored for four hours just to make sure everything was all right with Ezra. Becks was on the bus at the time I called and was still a good 30 minutes away from being at work. Luckily my friend, Allison, was able to meet me at the hospital and keep me company along with her 7 1/2 week old daughter, Annabella. Becks was able to get a ride into the hospital from a co-worker soon after. My doctor came in and ordered some blood tests and wrote a prescription for pain relief. Two pastors from our church came separately and checked in on me and prayed with us which was a true blessing. We are very grateful for our church family! They are amazing! After 5 hours of monitoring and waiting for test results we were allowed to go home! Now I am in a bit of pain and am avoiding the laundry room!! That was one scare I don't care to relive.

In other news...we are getting our new countertops in our kitchen installed tomorrow morning!!! Yeah! No more harvest gold laminate!! We are getting Silestone countertops in the Grey Expo color. So they will look a bit like concrete! We are really excited to get that finished. We will post a picture when the countertops and new sink are installed! It has been a long process this kitchen, but we finally are almost done with this phase.

Not much else going on here. Just enjoying the beautiful spring flowers and bushes that are blooming and smelling so sweet! I love seeing all of the trees in bloom as well! So nice after all of the rain :o)

Well hope all of you are doing well! Until next time.
