We all got to celebrate with him early on the 1st of January at Baja Fresh :o) There he had a huge piece of cake!! Which he got all over himself :o) As is only proper for your 1st birthday! Isn't he just so cute?!?! We think he is quite adorable, but then again he is our godson and we are a bit biased :o)

Update for early January

Well time is continuing to tick! It is amazing how fast the time is going by! It has already been two weeks since we went out to Lincoln City to spend New Year's Eve with our friends from Ohio, Jenn and Nelson! We had a great time with them and Nelson's family! Even with all of the rain...we got a few walks on the beach into our time there. We also ate at one of the better known restaurants on the Oregon coast, Mo's. Jenn said that she believed that they have the best clam chowder!! I wouldn't know as I try to avoid the seafood. I opted instead for the grilled cheese sandwich and fries. I got the kiddie order which was served on a frisbee :o) A special gift for Koi from our trip since she wasn't able to join us.

After our time there Koi ended up getting really sick from her stay at the kennel. She still isn't 100%. I thought she was, but was sadly mistaken as she got sick on Tuesday once again.

Today I went to my staff meeting at school and was surprised to find out that they had planned a baby shower for me!! It caught me off guard :o) I felt so loved and blessed by all of the ladies that work with me and the pastor of the church! What a wonderful group of people! Ezra got lots of fun clothes and some other necessities! One of my most favorite gifts today was from the teacher I work with. She got me a huge box of Huggies diapers!! :o) I am going to miss working there, but am leaving for a wonderful reason :o) My last day at the school is the 30th.

I also had my doctors appt today. This was my first one without Becks there. He got swamped at work this week and was unable to go with me. I had to have my glucose testing today which I needed to drink this stuff called Glucola. My flavor was lemon-lime and it tasted like flat 7-Up. I didn't mind it all that much. I didn't like the waiting at the office until it was time to have my blood drawn though. That seemed to take forever even though it was really only 30 min! Ezra is continuing to grow at just the right pace. And I am growing as well! All of those cookies and goodies from Christmas really helped me move up on the scale. I don't know by how much as I really didn't pay much attention last month, but this time I saw the number! WoW! Luckily all of this weight gain is going to a great cause :o) He also continues to have a strong heartbeat! And it is still amazing to hear it beating away!

Well that is all for now. More with future posts.
