Us in Bend, Oregon
We went to Bend, Oregon for the 4th of July weekend! We had a fabulous time! Our friends Erin and Gary went as well. Erin works for Marriott so she got an awesome deal on the hotel...$35 a night for a room that goes for $190! Not bad, huh? We couldn't turn down this opportunity to go to Bend. Although we were originally going to go camping. It was a totally different kind of vacation from camping, but we enjoyed soaking up the sun in the desert. Becks and I did manage to get a little bit of a hike in with our dog, Koi. And that was one of the highlights of our trip out to the Cascades. The days were filled with perfect weather in the '80s. Unlike Ohio weather '80s here in Oregon are wonderful as there is no humidity! So we enjoyed our times by the hotel's pool soaking up the sun! All in all it was a very relaxing trip! And then we came home on the 4th and started digging in our front yard. Yep, we have a water main leak! Fun stuff... Hopefully the plumbing company will be out this week or next to put a new line in from the meter into our house. We were digging to see if it was a crack in the line that we could repair. No such luck as there were tree roots right under the pipe. They were actually the problem as they buckled the pipe and put a crack in the top. So we cut our losses and called up several plumbers and got quotes. All that to say, home ownership is such a joy!
