Merry Christmas...well almost

Greetings!

It has been a little while since the last post. So here I am to give an update on all that has gone on since and what we are currently up to.


-- The weekend after Becks' parents left for home we went out with friends to select our Christmas tree! We had a great time! The first place we stopped was a little spendy for their trees, but we did end up buying some of their homemade apple cider doughnuts and hot chocolate before heading out for the next tree farm. Delicious!! There are pics from our tree hunting experience in our photo section.

-- Becks celebrated his 32nd birthday on December 13th! We didn't do anything really big for the day, but we did enjoy a nice dinner at Outback Steakhouse. We were too stuffed for dessert!

-- My preschool is currently on Christmas break! Woo hoo! We ended with a Christmas program for the parents on Friday the 16th. It was funny to see the kids up on stage waving to moms and dads and singing (or attempting to).

-- I have caught a nasty head cold from the kids I nanny for. Fun times! So I am very congested and unable to taste and smell most of the time. Don't you just love cold and flu season?!

-- We had a Dr's appointment yesterday and found out that Ezra is growing! Good thing, huh?! Although I didn't really need to go to the doctor to figure that one out. He is definitely growing and getting stronger! It is amazing to feel him punching, kicking and stretching inside!

-- I have started to get things put on our baby registry. I have only been adding things from on-line. We have yet to go to the store and scan items that we might need. If anyone has any suggestions as to what is helpful to have let me know. I am open to suggestions.

-- Our friends Nelson and Jenn from Ohio are coming out to visit with Nelson's family for Christmas and New Years, so we are going to get to see them!! We are very excited about catching up on all that has gone on in our lives since July/August.

So do you have all of your Christmas shopping done yet? I just found out this morning that the best time to do last minute shopping at the mall is right when they open the doors...or soon after. I went this morning a little after eight and got parking right up near the door and was able to shop with hardly anyone else around. What a beautiful thing! Becks is lucky as his company is located right across the street from our downtown mall! So he has easy access to shopping anytime during his workday! Has he done his shopping yet?! That is still to be determined. My guess is no. He is really into the last minute shopping! But he did say he didn't want to go out and shop on Christmas eve. We shall see.
