X-box time
We had our monthly Young Couples Fellowship last Saturday and had a great time hanging out with about 15 other couples. This month we did our first BBQ before our time of worship and the Word. It was a wonderful time of fellowship. Afterwards nine of us wives decided to go see 'The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants'. (Not my choice of movie, but I couldn't miss out on time with the girls! I am not into the girlie movies.) And our husbands went over to our friends Nick and Kari's house for a little X-box! X-box is the gaming system of choice here since it uses an Intel chip. A good amount of people who live in and around Portland work for Intel as we found out soon after moving here. That is if they don't work for Nike, Addidas or Columbia. Anyways, I forgot to take pictures of our time at the BBQ earlier in the evening, so I had to take this opportunity to get some shots of the guys all into their game. We all had a great time! The girls at their 'girlie, chick-flick' and the guys playing Halo 2 on the X-box. And you know what...the movie ended up being half-way decent. Not as bad as some! But 'chick-flicks' are still not my movie of choice.
